Friends of McCormick Park

Welcome to the Friends of McCormick Park website.

We are a small group of area residents who have come together to discuss how we can best advocate for our park.

Since our first meeting in early 2012, we have discussed ways, both small and large, to enhance the park and by extension, the community in which we live. We’ve initiated several projects, including the new playground, the adopt-a-tree program, the container cafe, and an outdoor skating rink. We’re also committed to solving problems related to vandalism, off-leash dogs, and other safety concerns. Other ideas include activities for teenagers, and more community gatherings.

These are just a few examples of how committed volunteers can work together to ensure that our park is the best it can be. Join us! There’s lots to talk about and lots to do!
